Kent JMC offers Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees within the liberal arts tradition. We have one of the most extensive, up-to-date, and professional journalism and mass communication programs in the country. Our program is structured to provide students with the real-world skills and concepts they will need to succeed in the fields of print and broadcast news, advertising, public relations, visual journalism, information design, photo illustration, electronic media production and programming. A Standard of Excellence We are an accredited school of journalism and mass communication, one of just 105 accredited programs in the nation and only three in Ohio. To be accredited, Kent State JMC, its faculty and curricula, have met or exceeded the high standards set by the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications, a group of nationally recognized professionals and educators.
