Kent JMC offers students a selection of 10 specialized majors, all of which lead to a Bachelor of Science degree. All JMC majors are required to take at least seven basic core courses in addition to the University's Liberal Education Requirements and the specific courses required for graduation in their chosen major. The core JMC courses are: Introduction to Mass Communication Media Writing Law of Mass Communication Ethics and Issues in Mass Communication Internship Choosing a Major If you are undecided about your specific major, you can delay a decision until you have taken some of the required core courses and have gained a better understanding of your individual talents and areas of interest.
