MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS Merit scholarships are offered through the Honors College. Three are reserved specifically for JMC students. In some years, as many as 15 JMC freshmen have received Honors scholarships, ranging from $600 to full tuition, room and board. Honors scholarships are renewable for four years if you meet the grade requirements of the Honors College. BONUS HONORS SCHOLARSHIPS Honors JMC freshmen are eligible for an additional scholarship of up to $500, renewable for up to four years if GPA requirements are met. An application is mailed to all Kent JMC students accepted by the Honors College. All you need to do to apply for one of these scholarships is to send a transcript that includes your class rank, cumulative GPA, and ACT or SAT test scores to the Honors College. Include a note to the Honors College saying that you are interested in journalism and mass communication.
