Marino spent more than four years tracking the progress of three students through medical school. The series, "White Coats," appeared in Cleveland magazine and won major awards. It's being expanded into a book. In this video, Marino talks about the series and how it fits into her creative and research programs in literary journalism.

Murray created the award-winning Stories That Fly website, thanks in part to a grant from the Knight Foundation. For Murray, it's a perfect way to combine his dual loves of flying and multimedia storytelling. Faculty members Jacquie Marino and Gary Harwood and JMC students also are involved in the project.

YouTube has a split personality, leaves a digital trail, and is changing the face of American politics and the way information is distributed. Those are some of the findings of JMC professor, Gary Hanson, who has been exploring the shared video site for several years. He notes that YouTube is blurring the once clear lines among content creators, distributors and consumers. Hanson contends the political impact of YouTube could be both very interesting and very powerful.

There's an interesting nexus among marketing, branding, sports and fans. JMC assistant professor Danielle Coombs is out to find it and understand it.

She and research partner Anne Osborne, of Louisiana State University (at left in photo), have been studying the relationship of British football (soccer) clubs and their fans. Coombs and Osborne next are looking at female fans of American football, examining their portrayal in U.S. media.
