TV-2: Shows through the years . . .
TV-2 is more than just news

Some of the shows that have appeared in the non-news programming schedule of TV-2 include some of the following:

Family Tree: (1974-present) Click to see clip
Black-oriented interview show featuring campus and local personalities. Traci Williams is the current adviser for the show.

To Be Announced: (1981) Click to see clip
Comedy Show which grew in popularity and became an official student organization, but as far as Tim Aten (director of TBA) was concerned, it had already reached its peak.

Reflections: (1985)
A magazine-style news show. It featured interviews with campus figures, movie reviews and other topics.

Something/Anything: (1987)
Comedy Show with short skirts, spoofs, and sketches, mixed in with music videos.

Coming Attractions: (1987)
Reviews of new movies and video tapes, and films on campus.

Tempo: (1987)
Campus Magazine Program with preview of weekends entertainment scene.

Kurtz's Korner: (1987)
Sports talk show with Kent State, Akron, Cleveland sports personalities.

Desperate for a Date: (late 90's)
If you need a date, this is the show for you. A comedy show that helps students finds the person who is right for you.

Last Call Cleveland: (late 90's-present)

Spoof Comedy Show that makes fun of other comedy shows. The show has moved to another location in Cleveland and is still running today.

Sports Corner: (late 90's-present)
Sports talk show focusing on Kent State sports as well as surrounding areas. This is one of the longest running shows on TV-2. Dave Holmes, winner of "Dream Job" on ESPN used to host the show. Nick Gambone is the current producer of the show. Click to see clip

The Music Box: (late 90's) Click to see clip
An off the wall Music Show. It has changed over the years from music reviews, videos and dry comedy to over the top sarcastic comedy. Brandon McElwain started the show and is now been taken over and revamped by Tony Jones.

World News Now: (2004) Click to see clip
A news show focusing on what is going on in the world as well as here homeside. Garvin Carrington-Matthews currently produces the show.

Weekly Kent Statement: (2005) Click to see clip
A news show with a comedic side to it. Broadcast news major, Arlene Brokaw, produces the show. Click to see clip
