PRSSA Kent wins third national award

Kent State public relations students were recently honored with a Teahan National Chapter Award presented by the Public Relations Student Society of America.

PRSSA Kent received the award for an Outstanding Chapter Web Site. The award was announced at the national conference of the Public Relations Student Society of America in Philadelphia. The Web site's design and content was reconstructed last year and now includes information such as chapter meetings, events and fundraising opportunities. The site is ranked in Google's top 10 results for the keyword “PRSSA.” Learn more

PRSSA Kent member serves on PRSSA National Committee

A milestone is drawing to a close for the Kent State chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) as Allison Tomei concludes her term as the vice president of member services for the PRSSA National Committee.

Tomei was elected into her position at the 2007 PRSSA National Assembly in Nashville , Tenn., after being actively involved in PRSSA Kent since her sophomore year. She is the first member of PRSSA Kent to be elected to PRSSA National Committee. Before being elected to PRSSA National Committee, Tomei previously held the secretary position for PRSSA Kent. read more
