| How has the Kent JMC adapted its curriculum
to the age of digital communication?
To better prepare students for 21st-century
media careers on paper, on air and on line, the Kent JMC faculty
has completely redesigned the School's curriculum. Building
on its historic strength in news, the School began in 1998
to expand its emphasis in Visual Journalism and in Electronic
Media. Students now learn to blend words and images in media
ranging from printed newspapers and magazines to the World
Wide Web and other forms of electronic communication only
now emerging.
